I was born and raised in Southwest Virginia where I graduated from high school at the top of the class, well 2nd anyway, and was the second person in my family to attend college. I was fortunate enough to attend The College of William & Mary. Those years in The College were so filled with history and inspiration from our founding fathers that I was motivated to pursue law as a career. Also during my college years, I worked as a cook in a local candy and confectionary store for which I still have very fond memories of and I feel it has been a major addition to my life. I graduated from law school in 2003 and while awaiting the bar results, I worked briefly with the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in Wythe County, VA, where I gained invaluable experience in criminal law. I passed the bar in 2004.
Upon passing the bar, I was hired by the Law Office of Olaf Gebhart in October of 2004. I worked a number of years with the firm and was promoted to managing attorney in 2009 and developed a sizeable bankruptcy practice.
From January of 2011 until April 2013, I gained invaluable experience when I went to work for the Law Office of John W Lee, P.C. It was with this firm that was able to grow more areas of practice and focus more on Divorce and Family Law.
In May 2013, my life was again blessed to have the opportunity to open the new Hampton Office for the Law Office of Steven D. Barnette. Mr. Barnette has been a long time personal friend and so when the chance arose for me to work with him and opening a new office with his firm was simply an offer I could
